Having the models pose nude places them within
a close lineage with the history of art. A naked body is never
neutral: it is charged with representations, mythologies, symbols and
figures that run through our memories; evoking without directly
quoting is an interesting path to follow. The decision to work
outdoors introduces a paradox: the model always turns their back to the
landscape and is excluded from it. This feeling is heightened by the
absence of depth of field; the landscape becomes nothing more than
a blurred, undefined backdrop. The model must contend with this
condition: a solitude to be shaped, a way of being in the world to be
constructed. The tragicomic dimension of this research is essential:
the serious and the absurd coexist, beauty and the strange
coexist; it is up to the viewers to see in it what they wish.
